JV Manufacturing Donates Milling Machine to NTMA Pittsburgh

At JV Manufacturing, innovation has always been rooted in a deep understanding of machining fundamentals. That philosophy is what made our recent donation of a Bridgeport milling machine to the Pittsburgh Chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA) especially meaningful.

While technology in manufacturing continues to advance rapidly, the Bridgeport remains a foundational tool. This is true not because it is new, but because of what it teaches.

The Value of a Bridgeport in Today’s Shop

Bridgeport mills have long been a cornerstone of American manufacturing. Even in an era dominated by CNC equipment, these machines still play an important role. They are particularly effective for:

Our donation supports NTMA’s new shop classroom, which is scheduled to open in late February 2026. In this space, students will gain real-world exposure to machining principles before moving into more advanced systems.
