Powering Precision: JV Manufacturing Featured in MBA’s Hill Report
JV Manufacturing is proud to be highlighted in the Manufacturer & Business Association’s August 2025 Hill Report, where our President, Ryan Vecchi, and Vice President, Melissa Vecchi, shared insights into the challenges and opportunities facing manufacturers across Pennsylvania.
Rising Energy Demands in the AI Era
As artificial intelligence, data centers, and new technologies drive massive increases in electricity usage, manufacturers like JV face rising energy costs and occasional shortages. Over the past two years, our facilities have experienced a 35% increase in electricity costs, with average monthly usage surpassing 185,000 kWh.
To meet this challenge, JV is pursuing sustainable solutions—including applying for a RISE PA grant to install solar panels. Energy efficiency projects like HVAC upgrades and a long-term modernization plan help ensure our precision manufacturing environment remains stable at 70°F, which is essential for producing high-tolerance tooling and components.
Precision at the Core
Maintaining exacting standards is at the heart of JV Manufacturing’s success. The dies and components we build are trusted worldwide for industries including aerospace, medical, nuclear power, and green energy. With tolerances down to two or three ten-thousandths of an inch, our work requires constant temperature and strict process control.
As Ryan explained, “Our dies are more Ferrari than Ford—engineered for the highest precision possible.”
Commitment to Workforce Growth
Melissa Vecchi also shared updates on JV’s workforce development efforts. With 103 employees across two facilities, JV continues to invest in people as much as technology. This includes apprenticeship programs with Catalyst Connection and the National Tooling & Machining Association, as well as outreach to over 20 schools and colleges to introduce students to careers in manufacturing.
The next generation of workers is seeking more than just benefits; they want purpose and ongoing learning opportunities. That’s why JV offers training, mentorship, and hands-on opportunities to contribute to industries that shape the future, from clean energy to aerospace.
Looking Ahead
Even as energy and workforce challenges grow, JV Manufacturing remains committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. From exploring automation in stamping operations to producing components for nuclear energy, fuel cells, and batteries, JV is building for the future while staying true to the craftsmanship and values that have defined our company since 1975.
